The following stats presented by Ofcom demonstrate what devices people are buying and what they’ve been ditching over the years…

The report shows that internet users spend an average of 24 hours a week online, meaning that we’re dependent on a good connection to the internet in our day-to-day lives.
The full report from Ofcom shows biggest take-up of devices in 2018 were smartphones, laptops and tablets, indicating that people are more inclined to demand everything they need, wherever they are. This alongside ownership of PCs being down to 28% in 2018 vs 69% in 2008 shows that people don’t want to be restricted to a desk area.
Flexible devices allow us to operate as we would at home or in an office, but from wherever we choose to work. Businesses are beginning to recognise that they can be more efficient by allowing their employees to be more versatile about where they work.
